Kwiek - The results this tournament not what we wished for

Brenda Castillo was excited her team broke through for its first win

Tokyo, Japan, May 21, 2016 - For the Dominicans the win over Kazakhstan was some consolation for a disappointing tournament, while Kazakhstan lamented its lack of international experience.

Dominican coach Marcos Kwiek - “I’m happy with the victory. This tournament has not produced the results we wished for. This was due to a lack of preparation time.”

“We have a tough match with Korea tomorrow that we must prepare for now. It will be the early match and that is new for us here.”

Kazakhstan coach Vyacheslav Shapran - “The Dominican team played very well. Our team won the second set and I'm happy about that. The Dominican team has better physical capability and is more durable.”

“Our players lack international experience and were nervous.”

Dominican player Brenda Castillo - “I’m happy with that we won. I am very satisfied.”

Kazakhstan captain Radmila Beresneva - “As the captain I believe in my team. We will play Italy tomorrow. We have lost all of our games.”

“We will continue to fight until the end. Italy is a tough team. We will try to win at least one game.”
