Thailand have many areas to work on - Thinkaow

 

Thailand made the best possible start to their final Olympic qualification campaign

Tokyo, Japan, May 14, 2016 - Despite a strong win the Thai leadership group said the team had many areas it needed to improve, while Dominican coach Marcos Kwiek said his team has to put today’s match behind them and focus on the next game.

Thailand captain Pleumjit Thinkaow - “We are happy to win. The Dominican Republic is a strong team. Their spikes are good.” 

“We put our forces together today and were able to win.”

Dominican Republic captain Bethania De La Cruz - “It was a tough match. We had moments where our combinations were not good. The Thai team played very well.”

Thai player Onuma Sittirak - “It's good that we won. We want to take momentum into the next match.” 

“There were things we wanted to do against the Dominican team that we could not because they are strong. We will work on those points for the next match.”

Dominican coach Marcos Kwiek - “We don’t have time for looking back on today’s match. We have many challenges that we have to correct.”

“We want to start to implement strategies on tomorrow’s match.”

Thai coach Radchatagriengkai - “We have got many things that we have learned from them. This victory brings us confidence, which enables us to compete.”
