Between one and four Olympic visas to be issued on Saturday

 

Tokyo, Japan, May 20, 2016 - With Kazakhstan and the Dominican Republic the only teams already out of contention, at least one team will secure its ticket to Rio on the penultimate competition day at FIVB Volleyball Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan.  On the other hand, it is possiible that all four Tokyo qualifiers become known on Saturday.



Korea could become the first team to secure a ticket to Rio from the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan as soon as they win two sets against Thailand, which desperately needs to win their two remaining games to save some chances.  Read more.



The only two teams that are already out of contention for tickets to Rio at the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan, Kazakhstan and the Dominican Republic, will face each other on the penultimate competition day in a quest for their first victory in Tokyo.  Read more.



Peru are sure to give their best to win against the Netherlands on the penultimate day at the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament, because only two victories would leave the South American side with a shot at qualification.  The Dutch will have already qualified by the start of the match if Thailand lose their match earlier in the day, but otherwise would need two sets against Peru to book their ticket to Rio.  Read more.
