Japan's Yurie Nabeya celebrates a point against Netherlands
Tokyo, Japan, May 22, 2016 - Dutch coach Giovanni Guidetti said the final match was a great image for the sport, while Japanese coach Masayoshi Manabe praised his young players who got a chance to play on Sunday night.
Japan coach Masayoshi Manabe - “First of all Tashiro, Nabeya and Maruyama made a great performance and we won the game. This was good because they did not have much chance to play.”
Netherlands coach Giovanni Guidetti - “This was a nice volleyball show tonight. Yesterday both team's achieved their goal. Both teams still competed until the fifth set. This is a great image for our sport.”

“Sloetjes is something special especially if I think of where she was one year ago. I never saw such an improvement in such a quick time.”
Japan captain Saori Kimura - “It was a very difficult match. Throughout competition the difficulty of scoring one point was reminded. We played this game like it was the Olympics.”
Netherlands captain Maret Balkestein-Grothues - “It was a tough battle on the court, especially the fourth set was great volleyball. Japan is a good defensive and well-organized team.”
